PRF & PRP Injections in Spring & The Woodlands

PRF and PRP treatments use concentrated components from your own blood to support skin rejuvenation and, in some cases, subtle volume. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) are autologous treatments prepared from a small blood draw. PRF is often described as a next-generation approach; collection tubes and processing differ (PRF commonly uses tubes without anticoagulant additives). Growth-factor–rich material is then placed where your provider recommends.

EZ-Gel combines growth-factor–rich liquid PRF with albumin from your own plasma (processed without chemical additives) for a gel consistency that can adapt to treatment areas.

Common facial uses may include under-eye hollows, fine lines, folds, cheeks, jawline, lips, and other areas discussed in consult. PRF may also be combined with microneedling or other injectables when appropriate.

Typical cadence note: Many patients do about 2–3 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with maintenance discussed around 4–6 months—your provider confirms the plan.

How does it work?
Processing concentrates platelets and related factors from your blood. When placed in tissue, it can support a healing/remodeling response that may improve collagen over time. Immediate puffiness is temporary; meaningful change is gradual.

What are the risks?
Common effects are injection-related: redness, bruising, tenderness, swelling. Tell us about illnesses, cold sores, rashes in the area, or relevant medical history before treatment.

What should I do before and after?
Before: Ask about avoiding aspirin/ibuprofen, vitamin E, and alcohol when advised; consider arnica for bruising if you use it; reschedule if you have fever, cold/flu, cold sore, blemish, or rash in the treatment area.
After: Don’t massage or put pressure on treated areas; cold compress as desired; makeup often OK once redness settles; bruising/sensitivity can last a few days.

When will I see results?
Tenderness/puffiness can last several days; early swelling settles over 1–2 weeks. Collagen-related changes build over months. Multiple sessions are often needed.

Is it right for me?
A consult decides. It may not be appropriate with certain cancers, chemo/steroid therapy, some blood/platelet disorders, anticoagulation therapy, active infections, or other conditions your provider screens for. Results are not instant filler-style volume for everyone.
