A PDO thread lift uses absorbable polydioxanone (PDO) sutures placed under the skin to support a lifted, tighter look while collagen rebuilds as the threads dissolve. It’s an in-office alternative for people seeking improvement without surgical facelift. Care is customized with physician oversight. Serving Spring and The Woodlands from 606 Rayford Rd, Ste. D.
PDO threads are biocompatible sutures strategically placed to create immediate support and stimulate collagen as your skin heals. Threads gradually dissolve over months; collagen-related improvement can continue afterward. Common areas include face and neck; some body areas (such as knees or abdomen) may be discussed when appropriate.
Often combined with: Wrinkle Reducers · Filler (Lips & Face) · Radiesse & Sculptra
Consultation covering goals, candidacy, and thread plan. Pricing depends on areas and number/type of threads—reviewed at your visit. Financing may be available through CareCredit or Cherry. Ideal timing: at least 3 weeks before a big event.
How does it work?
Threads lift/support tissue and trigger a healing response that can increase collagen and elastin. Materials are designed to be reabsorbed over time.
What are the risks?
Treated areas may be red, swollen, slightly irregular, or bruised for several days (often settling within about a week). Sensitivity can last longer. Your provider reviews risks and candidacy.
What should I do before and after?
Before: Ask about pausing aspirin/NSAIDs, vitamin E, fish oil, and similar supplements that increase bruising (with your PCP’s OK); avoid alcohol 1–2 days prior; consider arnica if you use it.
After: Don’t massage or put pressure on treated areas; avoid strenuous workouts and alcohol ~24 hours when possible; no facial/massage in treated areas for ~2 weeks; if treated around the mouth, postpone dental work ~3–4 weeks unless told otherwise.
When will I see results?
Some improvement is often visible right away. Further tightening can develop over 2–6 months. Duration varies; many people plan periodic maintenance. Not a surgical facelift.
Is it right for me?
Often considered for adults seeking moderate lift without surgery. Significant aging changes may still be better addressed surgically—your provider helps decide. Can usually be combined with tox, fillers, and other collagen stimulators when appropriate.
